All Makes & Models Calibration
At Helix Performance Solutions, we don’t limit ourselves to a small number of brands. We offer ECU and TCU calibration solutions for a wide range of vehicles, covering petrol and diesel platforms across many manufacturers.
While BMW, Ford and VAG Group vehicles are some of the most common we work with, we regularly support many other makes and models including Japanese, French, German and other European vehicles.
The key difference is how we approach them.
We don’t apply a one-size-fits-all solution. Every vehicle is assessed individually, with the calibration method and software approach based on the exact ECU type, platform and intended use.
How It Works
When working with other makes and models, the process always starts with identifying the vehicle correctly.
This includes:
ECU type and generation
Engine type and configuration
Software version and security level
Access method (OBD, bench or unlock where required)
Once this is confirmed, we determine the correct and safest approach for that specific vehicle.
Depending on the platform, this may involve:
Direct OBD calibration on supported vehicles
Bench access for safer read/write and full backup
Unlock processes on newer protected ECUs
Not all vehicles can be approached in the same way, especially on newer platforms. That’s why confirming compatibility and method before booking is an important part of the process.

Platform-Led Approach
Modern vehicles use a wide range of ECU architectures, from older systems such as EDC15 and EDC16, through to EDC17, MED17, Simos and newer Bosch MD1 and MG1 platforms.
Each of these requires a different approach, and not every vehicle supports the same methods or level of access.
At Helix Performance Solutions, we work with genuine tools and up-to-date methods to ensure the correct process is used for each platform.
Important Note
Not all makes and models are supported in the same way.
Some vehicles may require additional steps such as ECU removal or unlock procedures, particularly on newer platforms. In some cases, support may vary depending on software version or production date.
Because of this, all enquiries for other makes and models are handled on an application-by-application basis.
