Ford ECU Calibration

Our Ford ECU calibration service is designed to improve overall performance, drivability, and responsiveness while taking the vehicle’s platform, usage, and hardware into account. Whether you are looking for a smoother power delivery, improved pulling power, or a more refined driving experience, each calibration is selected with the vehicle and customer goals in mind.

At Helix Performance Solutions, it is not always just about peak numbers — it is about how the vehicle drives as a whole in real-world conditions. That means focusing on usable power, improved throttle response, and a balanced result that suits the platform rather than chasing figures alone.

We work with a range of Ford petrol and diesel models, including newer protected ECU platforms where additional procedures may be required. Some vehicles can be calibrated via OBD, while others may require bench access depending on the ECU type and model year. Where needed, we will always advise on the correct method for the vehicle.

Ford Transit Tuning & ECU Calibration

Our Ford Transit ECU calibration service is designed to improve drivability, pulling power, and overall performance while keeping the vehicle’s use in mind. Whether the van is used for daily work, motorway miles, towing, or carrying weight, the focus is on delivering a smoother, more usable power band rather than just chasing peak figures.

At Helix Performance Solutions, it is not always just about the numbers — it is about how the vehicle drives in real-world conditions. A well-calibrated Ford Transit can feel more responsive, more flexible through the gears, and better suited to the demands of everyday use.

Each vehicle is assessed by platform and ECU type, as some Ford Transit models can be calibrated via OBD while others may require bench access depending on the system fitted. We always use the correct method for the vehicle and advise accordingly.

Van Speed Limiter Removal Service

At Helix Performance Solutions, we offer a mobile speed limiter removal service for many Ford Transit models.

Factory speed limiters are commonly set at 56, 62, or 70 mph, often for fleet management, fuel economy, or driver policy reasons. On many vehicles, these limits are controlled within the ECU or, in some cases, the Body Control Module (BCM).

Some adjustable limiters can be changed through the vehicle’s menu or steering wheel controls, but hard-coded factory limiters usually require specialist software calibration to remove or adjust correctly.

Using genuine tools and a platform-specific approach, we can assess the vehicle and determine the correct method for limiter removal or adjustment. Depending on the model and ECU type, this may be carried out via OBD, bench, or direct programming methods.

Our mobile service means we can carry out this work at your home or workplace on supported vehicles, making the process convenient as well as professional.

Every vehicle is checked individually, and we do not apply generic files. The correct approach depends on the software version, ECU type, and whether the limiter is controlled through the ECU or BCM.

Helix Performance Solutions provides software calibration only. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle remains compliant with any company policies, insurance requirements, or local regulations.

SID212/212 EVO on Ford Transit MY2017-ON is worth talking about properly now,

because support has moved on quite a bit.

As of March 2026, both Magic Motorsport Flex and Alientech KESS3 have announced Bench support for Continental/Vitesco SID212 used on Ford platforms including Transit. Flex says that with version 7.50.0.0, the earlier RFT mail-in is no longer required for SID212/SID212 EVO, and once the Bench unlocking procedure is completed, the ECU can then also be programmed in OBD. Alientech also announced Bench protocol support for SID212 in March 2026

What does this mean for you?
It means we can now offer same-day service on supported Ford Transit SID212/212 EVO applications, with bench access carried out in-house rather than relying on external unlocking. That helps reduce downtime and allows for a faster, more convenient turnaround on compatible vehicles.
